HALOVA BENEFITS
HALOVA is a medical device that promotes and accelerates the hydration, healing, reepithelialization and soothing of injured, atrophic or irritated vaginal mucosa. Contributes to restoring the normal lubrication and helps maintain a normal pH and vaginal flora.
Halova is indicated for:
- vaginal dryness due to menopause or other causes, especially when estrogen treatment is contraindicated,
- imbalances of the normal vaginal flora,
- sensations of discomfort or pain during intercourse,
- disturbances of the normal vaginal pH.
The medical device can also be used for the prevention of various pathologies that occur due to dryness of the vaginal mucosa (vulvovaginitis).
How does Halova ovule work?
The main mechanism of action of the medical device is the dispersion of substances in the vagina and the formation of a protective film for the vaginal mucosa with moisturising, re-epithelializing properties, normalizing the vaginal pH, which favours the maintenance of normal vaginal flora and which can be used both alone as well as together with hormonal treatment to restore the natural lubrication of the vaginal mucosa.
How is Halova ovules administered?
An ovule is administered intravaginally, preferably in the evening, before going to bed or according to the medical prescription.
It is preferable to insert the ovule lying down.
Insert the ovule as deep as possible inside the vagina.
For the prevention of vulvovaginitis caused by vaginal dryness, the duration of administration is 10 – 15 days or according to the doctor’s instructions.
For pre-menopause and menopause, the duration of administration is 10 days per month for three months, or according to the doctor’s instructions. The treatment can be repeated to maintain the favorable results.
The medical device is in the form of ovule of 2g each, the recommended dose being one ovule per day administered intravaginal, preferably in the evening, for the first 10 days, then 1 ovule once every two days for 20 days. The action can last 1-2 months after which, depending on the individual estrogen profile, it may be necessary to repeat the therapy. Treatment begins on the first day after menstruation.
Each ovule contains Aloe Vera, Marigold (Calendula officinalis) fluid extract, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid. The ovule base is formed of semi-synthetic glycerides, lanolin, silicon dioxide and xylitol.
